  1. Eddie A. says:

I decided to purchase the 32Gb Sandisk Extreme rather than the Extreme Pro – mainly because it seems the Pro version is only available in a 16Gb version(?). After testing this card on my new (w/the latest 3.03 firmware) in all high resolution and frame rate modes with Protune on (minimum 15 minutes each test), I can say that this card handles it as expected without any issues. However, (as noted in various forums) the new GoPro firmware apparently limits the max bitrate to 35Kbps rather than 45Kbps on all Sandisk cards due to the previous issues with their Ultra cards, and I can personally confirm this is indeed the case. Although I’m satisfied with this card, I may buy another brand of card so that I won’t be limited to only 35K – especially since I do a fair amount of video editing in high resolution…
