This is a pretty decent monitor for the price and all features work as advertised. The picture and sound quality are clear and work well through out my house. The construction of the camera unit is quite solid and seems like it is well-built with thick plastic and a sturdy feel. The monitor unit feels solid as well and is a but lighter in weight. The lighter weight is good for carrying around.

At first I had a bit of trouble with the VOX setting, but eventually figured it out. Tip: make sure the VOX light is lit on the front of the monitor unit to be sure VOX is enabled. To enable the VOX feature you have to press the VOX button on the top of the monitor unit until the green VOX light is activated on the front. I couldn’t figure it out at first but eventually got it out by playing with all the buttons. The VOX button has is on the top of the monitor unit second button from the left (next to power). For those unfamiliar the VOX feature automatically shuts the monitor unit…

We are very happy with our Foscam Digital Baby Monitor! A good friend of ours owns a Foscam camera that they use through their computer, and she couldn’t say enough good things about the camera quality. So when we heard Foscam was now offering a camera with monitor, we were confident that the quality would be the same. We have not been disappointed!

This is the best price for a camera with pan & tilt. I like how the directional controls for the camera are in a circle on the front of the monitor (intuitive to use in the dark).

I love that the volume is controlled by pressing the volume button on top, and then scrolling up/down on the arrow keys. The volume can be turned completely off. The VOX feature (turns the camera off after a short time of quiet in the room, and turns camera back on when sound is detected) has three levels of sensitivity. VOX is turned on/off by holding the top VOX button, until the indicator light on the front lights-up…

Purchased this right after release with high expectations after using a Foscam FI8910W as a baby-monitor (using smartphone/tablet to view). We are overall very happy with the purchase (particularly in comparison to the price of most other monitors). The parent unit is very easy to use, the temperature sensor works great (and the temperature alarm is a fantastic idea), and the VOX setting on turning the screen on is a very neat idea.

The biggest thing I was concerned about was interference with WiFi due to it using the same frequency – so far, I have seen no issues, where family with other monitors have major interference when using their monitors.

The one issue we have is that the ambient light sensor is one the top of the camera – meaning that it detects the light levels from somewhere other than where the camera is looking. Due to where my baby’s crib is located, and where the window in his room is located, his crib will be mostly dark, while the window…
