I received this as a Get Well Soon gift from someone who knows how much I love to read in the tub. (Also see below – in my PS) I normally hate reading in the tub, because I inevitably drop my dead-tree book into the water. I’ve always regretted that the Kindle couldn’t be taken into the bath with me. Now it can and I’m thrilled. Very, very prune-y, but thrilled!

This sort of easy to put on and very light-weight item keeps your Paperwhite safe from being broken when you drop it (and you will eventually!), dry and sand-free at the beach and it comes with a one year warranty.

Added for clarity—–>You need to be prepared to ruin your manicure or do like I did and use the tip of a very dull knife. It is very difficult to open if you have arthritis or any other muscle/griping problems in your fingers, but I think it is worth it if you do like to read anywhere near water or sand etc.

There are slots in the sides and on the top that need to be pried open,…

I rcvd my Atlas Waterproof Case for my Kindle Paperwhite today. The initial installation of my Kindle into the case was easy compared to some of the other reviews. When I went online to register it on Incipio’s web site I discovered they wanted the S/N that was inside the case. So I had to open the case, retrieve the S/N and re-close the case. Neither operation was very difficult although if I had recently trimmed my fingernails it would have been much more difficult to open the case. Reading with the case installed looks no different to me than it did with just a screen protector installed. The case feels nice and is comfortable to hold. As far as being completely waterproof I have no intention of testing it. I bought the case as insurance to protect my Kindle in case it should inadvertently get wet or be left out in the many sand storms we have in Indiana…or is that snow storms?

UPDATE: This case is NOT impossible to open! If it were any easier to open then it…
